2.    Coating  Thickness


 

Hot-dip  galvanized  wire  typically  has  a  thicker  coating  than  electroplated  zinc  wire,  usually  ranging  from  10  to  30  micrometers.  Electroplated  zinc  wire  has  a  coating  thickness  of  about  3  to  5  micrometers.


3.    Anti-Corrosion  Performance


 

Due  to  its  thicker  coating,  hot-dip  galvanized  wire  has  better  anti-corrosion  performance  and  is  suitable  for  outdoor  use  over  extended  periods.  Electroplated  zinc  wire,  with  its  thinner  coating,  has  weaker  anti-corrosion  performance  and  is  commonly  used  indoors  or  for  short-term  applications.


4.    Cost


 

The  production  process  of  hot-dip  galvanized  wire  is  more  complex  and  therefore  costs  higher  than  electroplated  zinc  wire,  which  has  a  simpler  production  process.


5.    Application  Fields


 

Hot-dip  galvanized  wire  is  widely  used  in  construction,  machinery,  and  shipbuilding  industries.  Electroplated  zinc  wire  is  mainly  used  in  electronics,  electrical  appliances,  and  automotive  industries.
